Worry-free remote monitoring provides assurance that the fuel cell is doing its job. The EFOY Pro converts methanol directly into electricity in a single step. What’s more, the process requires no moving parts so that generation is highly efficient, quiet and totally maintenance free.
- Power around the clock, in any weather A fuel cell generates electricity completely independent of its environment. It produces power continuously as long as there is fuel. If necessary, it can work 24 hours a day at temperatures ranging from 20 below to 45 degrees centigrade.
- Continuous electricity for weeks on end The EFOY Pro uses liquid methanol, a fuel that has superior energy density. Ten liters of methanol, weighing a mere 8.4 kg, can generate 11.1 kilowatt hours. The same amount of energy stored in a battery would weigh 279 kg. Ten liters of methanol can power a 10-watt device for six weeks totally maintenance free.
- Maintenance free – easy to use The EFOY Pro remains maintenance free throughout its entire life. Since it can charge standard batteries directly, it easily integrates into existing facilities. Just hook it up to the battery. It performs equally well in hybrid configurations with solar modules. Operation is intuitive, either on site directly, or remotely, by means of a GSM modem.
- Like a baby’s breath Power generation produces only carbon dioxide and water vapour in an amount comparable to a child’s breath. EFOY Fuel Cells thus meet the toughest environmental standards.
- Proven safety The EFOY Pro Series and EFOY Fuel Cartridges conform to the highest standards of safety as shown by numerous certifications such as the TÜV GS seal on EFOY Fuel Cartridges and the TÜV octagon on EFOY Fuel Cells. Every EFOY product is safe to transport by land, sea, or air. SFC is certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2000.
- Safe from theft and vandalism The fuel cell and cartridge can be installed in the EFOY ProCube to prevent theft and vandalism. You can even hide the EFOY underground or integrate it into a switch cabinet.
